Calcaneal spurs are defined as degenerative lesions located at the medial aspect of the calcaneus, which lead to the formation of a beak-shaped osteophyte, known as calcaneal (or heel) spur. It causes plantar fasciitis, pain which limits motion and can even make it completely impossible for the patient to walk. (more…)
