Practising sport increases the risk of variable injuries. The most common ones are orthopaedic injuries. Those, who take excessive exercise without a warm-up, are at the highest risk. Sport-related injuries are often associated with only mild pain. That is why they often get unnoticed or neglected, which may lead to permanent tissue changes and result in problems with the recovery. The most common sport-related injuries are:
- muscle tear
- tendon tear
- Achilles tendonitis
- lateral ligament injury
- cruciate ligament injury or tear
- knee meniscus injury
